The Pyramids Technology valley was a vision, a strategy and a national dream and commitment ahead of all governments and regimes. The initial vision was articulated in the Silicon Valley. The initiative was born in 1989 in a major conference that represented all stakeholders and examined first hand the newly born then silicon valleys. Following then a High Tech Development Strategy was developed by Data quest. Dr.Elsherif established the first High Tech Board of Egypt. The accelerated growth of the young and emerging companies took place during the 90's. He mobilized and provided resources for companies to support exports, marketing, exhibitions, training, etc. He also led the formation of a state of the art intellectual property legislation and societal education. Plans and blue prints for Egypt first Silicon Valley were developed and management for this strategic program were appointed and empowered.
