Dr. ElSherif led serious effort to formulate a global learning environment through the intelligent integration of the evolving information and communication technologies to support human resource development, training and education through distance learning state-of-the-art approaches, tools and techniques. He launched the e-learning program, as a subsidiary of RITSEC, in 1997. The program has succeeded in implementing numerous leading e-learning projects among which are: Global Campus, Global Distance Learning Center, Arab Regional Distance Learning Network "LearnNet", Global Knowledge Support Program, Arab Workforce Skill Development (E4All), Women's Health Awareness Learning Objects, Cairo University Mass Communication Master, Middlesex University Masters and Lifelong Learning Center.
